Lawsuits involving accidents and personal injuries are often handled on a “contingent fee” basis. Using a contingent fee arrangement means that our attorney’s fee for handling your case is calculated as a percentage of the total amount we are able to recover for you, which is usually about one-third.
This also means that we advance all expenses and costs necessary to pursue your lawsuit. Once a recovery is made in your case, attorney’s fees and case expenses are deducted. The balance of the award or settlement goes to you, the client.
This arrangement gives individuals who have been injured or are seeking personal injury damages (such as those arising from an auto accident) an opportunity to obtain quality legal representation, even if they do not have the money to pay for a lawyer at the beginning of the case.
This policy also means that you do not pay any legal fees unless and until we reach a settlement or win your case in court.
