Introduction

Shawn Mechler attended the University of Texas where he graduated in 2000 with a degree in biology. Upon graduation, Mr. Mechler returned to San Antonio and worked in the medical field for eight years. In 2011, he graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law and served as the St. Mary’s Law Journal’s managing/executive editor.

Background

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Mechler served as a briefing attorney for the Honorable Rebecca Simmons of the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio. After his clerkship on the court of appeals, Mr. Mechler worked for two well-respected law firms where he gained valuable experience in personal injury law.

 

Mr. Mechler represents injured persons in wrongful death and personal injury cases arising from tractor-trailer wrecks, automobile collisions, workplace injuries, defective products, and dangerous premises conditions.

 

Mr. Mechler is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, American Board of Trial Advocates, and Federal Bar Association. He has been recognized as a Rising Legal Star in San Antonio Scene Magazine.
