Six Months of Crosley Cares

With the start of the 2019 New Year, Crosley Law proudly launched the community service branch of our law firm, officially founding Crosley Cares. The brainchild of our Director of Happiness Ruthie Foultz, Crosley Cares was originally a client advocacy service offered because she recognized our clients needed support navigating the often-overwhelming processes involved in the pre-litigation and litigation of their cases. What started as an extra service of support for our family of clients has now fully developed into its own division within our firm and the San Antonio community.

This is because we realized Crosley Cares didnā€™t have to stop at just our client family but could and should extend to our San Antonio community as well. So as of January 2019, we officially founded Crosley Cares as the philanthropic arm of Crosley Law. Since the beginning of this year, Crosley Cares has carefully chosen, partnered with, or sponsored some of our local nonprofits whose missions and values have touched our hearts.

Fairways for Warriors

Fairways for Warriors is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) who, through golf, provides ā€œhealing and camaraderie for combat wounded veteransā€ who suffer from PTSD and TBIs. At Crosley Law, we specialize in plaintiff victims who suffer from traumatic brain injuries, so we were proud to partner with Fairways for Warriors. Currently, we sponsor a ā€œclosest to the pinā€ hole at every monthly clinic, the lucky winner of which receives a mobile car wash worth $75. We are so happy to be a sponsor of this great organization and look forward to doing more with them in the second half of 2019.

San Antonio Bar Foundationā€™s Law Week

The San Antonio Bar Foundation (SABF) is the charitable branch of the San Antonio Bar Association which helps to subsidize civic education and provide access to justice programs across the greater San Antonio area. Every year, SABF hosts whatā€™s known as ā€œLaw Week.ā€ It is an effort comprised of several community outreach events to bring awareness to the public about voting and voting rights. This year, our attorney Jarryd S. Morton dedicated his morning to the third graders at Timberwilde Elementary School. He chose to read Buddy for President by Hans Wilhelm to teach the young audience about the election system and inspire a new generation into civic action. Crosley Law will continue to have a heavy presence within the SABF when managing partner Tom Crosley takes office as president of the San Antonio Bar Association in September, the professional association of attorneys and legal professionals who oversees the SABF.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Just last month, in June of 2019, Crosley Cares proudly crossed the finish line of a 10-week fundraising campaign with a check for $1,955! The money raised went to Delisi Fridayā€™s campaign for Woman of the Year and benefitted the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – South Central Texas Chapter. We helped Delisi surpass her goal of raising $50,000 towards blood cancer research. Every candidate in the campaign that raised $50,000 or more will now have the prestigious honor of naming a research grant after someone or in their memory. There were 16 candidates in total, and collectively they raised $1.126 million dollars. We are so proud that Crosley Cares was a part of this initiative and we look forward to participating next year!

Looking back on our first six months of Crosley Cares, we are very excited that our initiative has hit the ground running. We have some exciting things in store for the second half of 2019 and we canā€™t wait to share them with our growing client and community family!
