Attorney Tom Crosley spoke before a group of more than 100 dentists at the Texas Dental Association’s annual meeting in San Antonio yesterday. The Texas Dental Association is having its annual meeting in San Antonio May 3-6, 2012. The meeting is open to Dentists, Dental Residents, Dental Students, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Dental Office Staff, and Laboratory Technicians.
Specifically, Crosley reported on the lawsuits his firm is handling involving suspected Medicaid fraud, unnecessary dental work being performed on kids covered by Medicaid, the unsavory practice of Medicaid dental mills illegally soliciting patients, and related issues. Mr. Crosley is in support of the Texas Dental Association adopting a resolution to investigate, deter and punish this type of predatory behavior by a few bad apples in the dental profession. His remarks were well-received by the majority of the dentists in attendance.
