WFAA: Dallas Clinic Bribes Medicaid Children to Get Dental Work

Byron Harris, investigative reporter for Channel 8 News in Dallas has uncovered a Medicaid dental scheme where children are picked up off the street and offered cash to get dental work without their parents’ permission. Harris reports that four boys, ages 13-15,were offered $10 each to visit a local dental clinic by a man driving around their neighborhood in an unmarked van. Once inside the clinic, the boys were reportedly asked to sign their mothers’ names onto some paperwork. As a result, one boy received as many as eight fillings while another claims the dentist broke his braces.
