Our client, a married father of two young children, was killed in an explosion on an oil field drilling site in West Texas. We filed a lawsuit against several corporations that contributed to dangerous conditions that led to the explosion.

Our 21-year-old client was riding his motorcycle when a delivery company driver operating a large commercial box truck turned left directly across his lane. The investigating officers initially determined he was at fault, but dash camera footage showed the truck driver failed to yield the right of way. He suffered fractures, lung and internal injuries, and a traumatic brain injury. The case resolved for a $3.75 million settlement.

We filed suit, prepared for trial, and settled for $1.25 million.

Our client was a passenger in a van on a West Texas highway when one 18-wheeler turned left in front of the van and a second 18-wheeler, passing on the shoulder, crashed into it. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and lasting pain. The trucking companies tried to move the case to a different county and blamed the driver of our client’s van. We defeated the venue fight and settled with all three insurers for $1.15 million.

Our client, a university professor with no history of neck problems, was hurt when a commercial truck backed into her vehicle. She needed a cervical disc replacement. The company argued the impact was too minor to cause her injury, so we took the case to trial. A Bexar County jury returned a verdict of $1,868,558.62.

We proved our client needed recommended back surgery after getting hit in an intersection accident, raising the initial settlement offer from $200,000. 

Our client was rear-ended by a distracted work pickup truck, suffering herniated discs in her neck and back. The defense tried to downplay the crash by pointing to the minimal property damage, but we secured a $1.9 million recovery after getting the at-fault driver to admit fault and explaining the significant surgery our client required as a direct result of the collision.
